XM SkyDock turns your iPhone into the control panel satellite radio
Like satellite radio, but do not want to deal with a gaffe-Y “Dock and play” satellite radio, which clutter up the panel of your car? XM SkyDock may be for you. It looks a little different than the average IPod charging machines, but SkyDock has a satellite tuner built-in pop music in any iPhone or Ipod Touch, launch control SkyDock free app, and Apple Handheld becomes a touch screen to control the satellite radio services.
App automatically adjusts to landscape (pictured) or portrait mode, and the audio stream can be sent either through the line-out or “PowerConnect company system, which transmits sound to the most standard car radio on the electrical system of the car. Since SkyDock connected to a 12-car power adapter voltage, but also charges the iPhone / IPod Touch, while it is used. We got a brief hands-demo SkyDock Earlier today, in the case of Sirius XM, and he looked at the smooth operation, even with the beta versions.
Why invest in SkyDock, and not just shoot up to approx Sirius XM on your iPhone? Ok, as has been widely covered in many skips “Good Stuff”. Rights questions exclude many of the Keystone service channels, including the MLB Play-by radio, NFL Play-by-play, Nascar radio, and Howard Stern. In contrast to this, because it is a full over-air satellite radio, SkyDock Sirius XM offers a complete catalog, including stations.
App SkyDock also allows ITunes tagging: to hear the song you like on one of the music stations, and the touch screen will mark it for later download on ITunes. Naturally, SkyDock will also play music stored on your iPhone / iPod. (Whether that includes audio-iPhone with other applications - such as Pandora, Last.fm, and so forth - Wasn’t specified.) (Note: Last.fm is a part of CBS Interactive, which publishes CNET News.)
XM SkyDock will be available this fall for $ 120. In addition to a compatible IPod Touch or iPhone (any model that runs iPhone OS 3.0 will work), you need a valid Sirius XM subscription.
