We are only a couple of days away from the CES 2009, but rumors are already starting to fly about a new smartphone Palm Nova, which is set to debut on 8 January. Referring to the “trusted source”, CrunchGear reported that the first Nova device will have a slider design with a full QWERTY keyboard and a portrait-oriented touch screen. Not surprisingly, that it is compared with the iPhone, and is expected to be transferred to HTC, as the Palm Treo Pro.

In addition, the new operating system was described as “amazing”, with full personal information (PIM) and e-mail support. Smartphone will also come with a ton of software and media playback functions.

Again, this is all hearsay at this point. The official opening is scheduled for Thursday at CES, and I will be at the event that all the details, photos and more, so stay tuned.
