It was while with the Palm caused a sensation, but the company, of course, people talked to the planned January 8, the CES event. As CNET News reporter Tom Krazit reported last week, it is expected that Palm will preview its new operating system, code-named Nova, the CES in 2009, and rumors are looking to be true, based on new information from the Business Week article.

According to Peter Burrows at Business Week, Palm will disclose Nova “and the first in a family of products in Las Vegas, but not looking to go after, iPhone or BlackBerry. Instead, the Executive Chairman Jon Rubinstein, Palm said that the purpose behind Nova is to create a flexible platform that supports a wide variety of customer needs and create products that bridge the gap between work-oriented BlackBerrys and fun-oriented iPhone. Prior to joining Palm, Rubinstein was senior vice president of hardware development at Apple.

Rubinstein and Palm leaders will not get much more specific information about product details, not that the team hopes to create phones that make smarter use of data about you. ” In addition, the company hopes to release the product in mid-2009. I will be on January 8, an event, so check if the full report, and my first impressions.
