Testing CrystalTalk

During the visit Motorola booth at CES, I was very my Miss America experience. The company invited me to test my Plus feature CrystalTalk, which is one of the main features of the new Tundra VA76r reliable phone. Since I was a good experience with CrystalTalk before, I took the opportunity to see how it could be improved. CrystalTalk Plus promises and, as I discovered to have even better sound, adding a second microphone at the rear of the phone. Along with the main microphone, he canceled out background noise, so you can hear your caller, even in noisy environments.

The tests began when I took the place of one of two cylindrical booths in the middle of Vehicles in the show floor. While I think Las Vegas Convention was quite noisy, stand was just deafening. Speakers at the stand pumped out music so loud that I could not hear what was happening outside. This is not the same thing, that as a necessary soundproof booths in the beauty contest, but it feels like the same thing.

Moto employee then called me on the tundra. To my surprise, I could hear it directly, even in the background DIN. Then I switched to a regular phone with CrystalTalk. It was not so sharp, but I could hear everything well.

Moto VE66 has CrystalTalk Plus.

(Author: Kent German / CBS Interactive) CrystalTalk Plus is also available on the Motorola VE66. I did not try it with this phone, but I think that experience will not be significantly different. The company said that it would be an opportunity for more phones this year, we are ready to give one of them a full test.

In a world where cell phones are cramming in every conceivable feature, it is a pleasure to know that the motor is focusing on the fact that simple as the best experience. After all, that the phone is only good as it makes calls. I may not have received the crown at Moto in the cabin, but I learned a lot.
