Alltel scraps to HTC Snap

Joining T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Wireless, Alltel announced Tuesday that it is now offering HTC Snap for $ 79.99 with a contract for one year and after nearly $ 70 discount.

Verizon BlackBerry Storm price drops to $ 50; BlackBerry Storm 2 imminent?

Palm accepting submissions for the e-commerce application directory beta program

In preparation for the mid-September launch of the Palm App Directory e-commerce beta program, Palm announced on Tuesday that it is now accepting applications from developers who want to charge one time for its WebOS Apps.

Developers can realistically provide both free and paid applications for e-mail, and if it is adopted in the beta program, they will have the opportunity for their best application in the Palm App Headings before the next round of releases (speaking of which, when will the next round will be, Hmm, Palm?) and be among the first to be paid for downloaded applications.

Apps can be purchased via credit card and Palm said sales will be split approximately 70/30, with 70 percent going to the developers and 30 percent going to Palm, which is in line with Apple and Google.
