ITunes 9 interruptions Palm Pre-media synchronization

Earlier Wednesday morning, Apple CEO Steve Jobs took center stage here in San Francisco, and unveiled a new lineup of Ipods, iPhone 3.1 ITunes and 9.

The latter brings new additions, such improved overall interface function LP, the functionality of Genius Mix, and oh, hey what do you think? He also does not allow the opportunity for Palm to sync with pre ITunes. It does not come as much surprise, Apple and Palm have been walking back and forth on this issue. While mildly entertaining at first glance, this little cat fight begin to wear thin, especially for owners of pre-, we suspect.

We will have to wait and see if Palm is fighting back, and some believe that the company may try to gain entry to correct a widely reported but Unreleased WebOS 1,2 update. Of course, you can always choose not to update to ITunes 9, or use third-party software to synchronize the device with ITunes.

Nokia N97 Mini makes big debut

Nokia World 2009 started Wednesday in Stuttgart, Germany, and kick things off, the Finnish cell phone manufacturer, introduced several new phones, including Nokia N97 Mini.

As little brother, Nokia N97, a smartphone is not really all that much less than the N97. Mini least 4,4 cm in height by 2 inches wide, 0.5 inches (compared with 4,6 N97’s inches 2.1 inches 0.6 inches) and has a 3.2-inch touch screen tilt. It still offers a full sliding QWERTY keyboard without directional keypad, but judging by the press shots, it looks like Nokia did not do anything about the rickety accommodation space.

Nevertheless, the big news about the mini Nokia N97 is not so much about the physical design, but what lies beneath. Mini will run a new program, which adds a GUI improvements, including more home-screen widgets and flick the scroll, and includes more social networking tools.

One of these tools will Lifecasting with Ovi, which allows users to post their location and status updates directly from the N97 Mini. In addition, the device will come loaded with the new version of Ovi maps on which you can access content from Lonely Planet, Michelin and Wcities.

Other key S60 5th Edition phone includes a 5 megapixel camera, 8 GB internal memory with MicroSD expansion slot, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Unfortunately, today announced version does not support North American 3G bands, but we suspect, Nokia will launch version of the NAM as it is with the N97 and some of its other smartphones.

Mini Nokia N97, is expected to ship in October for an estimated retail price of 450 euros (about $ 640 U.S.). In addition, Nokia announced that it will release a software update and make Lifecasting with Ovi available for N97 in October as well. Other announcements from Nokia World 09 include Nokia X3 and X6 and new services.
