Skype for the iPhone: iTunes Store App hits

If the Skype for iPhone seems a big deal for you, you’re right. This topping iPhone App Store charts for nine countries, Skype said. In Skype for iPhone applications, VoIP, which became available on Tuesday after the announcement at CTIA, now began to free app in the U.S., UK, Australia, France, Germany, Holland, Japan, Russia and Spain.

“I am pleased that consumers have voted in their hand, and chose to download Skype in such phenomenal numbers,” said the head of the Office of Operations Skype Scott Durchslag.
