Samsung recalls jitterbug phones
Samsung recently released a recall for all jitterbug phones sold after 1 March, 2008. In the jitterbug phones, as you may recall, simple clamshells for the elderly, mainly for emergency purposes. Apparently some of the affected phones can sometimes can not connect to 911 services when the call for a certain area, which, of course, the problem is that the phone is set up to assist older people in emergencies. Both models suffer from a fear-monger voluntary recall scaremonger Dial and scaremonger OneTouch, respectively.
Scaremonger said it does not affect the basic services, mobile phone, and its 160,000 or so customers can make and answer calls, as well as 911 service, because they have a cell signal. This software problem occurs only when the phones roaming outside their service areas. Nevertheless, we certainly encourage you to visit a designated Samsung service center, or send directly to the Samsung phone for software updates.
Clients who have suffered from the revocation will be sent by mail, and prepaid envelope to send the phone back. Samsung promises to return the phone about a week.
