Report: Ex-CFO Motorola claims the company inflated projections
BusinessWeek was able to obtain documents from the Court of the State of Illinois has filed a court Liski, which Motorola claims on charges of shooting him in an attempt to silence him, as well as breach of contract. The documents Liski said he was concerned that the growing group of Motorola mobile devices has been significantly overstated its financial forecasts for 2009, despite the pessimistic forecasts of the Interior.
In a response filed in court, Motorola basically told Liski doing all this in an attempt to extract money from the company, describing it as “treacherous employee,” according to BusinessWeek. Motorola declined to comment to BusinessWeek in Liski allegations beyond what was stated in court documents.
This, of course, has been rocky year for Motorola Mobile Devices Group. In 2008, the company announced plans to sell the group, but could not find a buyer, and put in that plan to hold as the economy tanks. Meanwhile, the development of the phone seems to have slowed to a crawl as the smartphone industry heats up.
