Palm, Sprint to start Pre-early May?
Phone News (via Gizmodo) has received an internal e-mails sent to Sprint retail employees, informing them that the training was on the verge of pre-starts, and that holiday in May would not be allowed. There are two scenarios for the preliminary launch date stated in the memo, which appears to depend on the Palm the ability to wrap up development and increase production.
The first scenario provides for May 17 launch date, which implies, Palm can get enough press in the hands of Sprint by the end of this month or in early May. If this does not happen, Sprint and Palm will postpone the launch date on June 29, news by phone that would allow them to slip in the Palm deadlines set earlier this year for transportation in the first half of the pre-2009.
May 17, this Sunday, that might seem like strange day to start the phone, but perhaps, Sprint expects to take advantage of weekend traffic in retail stores. It certainly seems that Sprint is driving a lot of the pre-endgame strategy, which requires only one more detail: the price.
