No Jobs means no Macworld splash
Before Tuesday announced that jobs would skip the main annual Macworld, the usual rumor mill was in full swing, speculation about Netbooks Apple, iPhone Nanos, and the like. News that Phil Schiller, senior vice president of global marketing, will be paying principal (Philnote?) Took all that speculation to stop.
Apple made it quite clear yesterday that he did not expect this Macworld pack Punch. “It does not make sense for us to make significant investments in trade shows, we will no longer attend, the representative of Apple, Steve Dowling said. Thus, it means that Apple, not likely to spend time and effort required to put in one place “patented addresses, with demonstrations and the development of substantive presentations that accompany such decisions.
So what can we expect? The new Mac Mini and upgrading IMAC possible, given the length of time, as new models were introduced and several earlier reports. And a safe bet the 30-minute demonstration of Mac OS X snow leopard, which is expected to appear in the first quarter of this year.
But do not expect anything innovative to withdraw from this year’s Macworld, which, truth be told, was likely to be the case regardless of who gave the principal. Jobs’ absence, only confirms the fact that Apple is the distribution of this Macworld, the last in which the company plans to attend.
One potential surprise would make Jobs of any kind. The announcement immediately leave the speculation about his health but nothing has been over the past 24 hours suggest that it has taken turn for the worse.
Apple could get much mileage out of the work swap roles with Schiller, playing stupid, capable assistant role usually reserved for Schiller. And it will allow Mac-faithful “Serenade” Working for the last time, while many people are coming to Macworld for goods and community awful lot of people when there is no other reason than to see the work speak.
Even if Jobs just sat in the front row, but leaders such as COO Tim Cook and various members of the board to do in typical Stevenote, it will go a long way to encouraging Mac community, and shareholders that Apple Steve is fine.
