Microsoft Windows Mobile is seeking to update the leader
Ars Tech noticed a job advertisement on the Microsoft web-page search for a lead software development engineer to work on the update of Windows Mobile. “You want to see more and better and cool software for your love of” Windows phones just one click? Ad seeks to find the right person to lead the Windows Mobile update command.
The process of obtaining a new Windows software for mobile phones, of course, may be faster, but the general director of Microsoft Steve Ballmer acknowledged in March. Microsoft has to check software updates through the dozens of phone and carrier partners and direct users should download the Windows Mobile software that updating the firmware from the carrier, not Microsoft. And then it takes several measures to get the new software on the phone.
But in the Microsoft Windows Marketplace Mobile plans to get started later this year, the company will be one central point of access to new software in all Windows Mobile phones in use. It is likely, the improved versions objectives described in the ad, however, intended for Windows Mobile 7, which was originally expected this year, but now not expected until 2010.
Windows Mobile 7 will contain the user interface improvements and better support for gestures. Windows Mobile has seen several significant changes since the iPhone shook up the mobile computer industry in 2007, and Microsoft acknowledged that it must move faster.
