HTC S743, announced in the U.S. market
While all may be buzzing about the T-Mobile G2 rumors, HTC is the congestion on its commitment to Windows Mobile devices, and announced on Tuesday that it will release HTC S743 smartphone in the U.S. market in Q1 2009.
Option HTC S740, which has been available in Europe and Asia within a few months, S743 features 12-button keypad on the front panel and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for all of these messages are fanatics. In closed, S743 sports a compact design that takes its inspiration from the HTC Touch diamond. The difference Touch series, however, S743 has a more traditional Windows Mobile user interface, not HTC TouchFlo interface and has a 2.4-inch QVGA display nontouch.
As you might gather from the lack of a touch screen smartphone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Edition with support for Microsoft Exchange. S743 also has an integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera and expansion slot MicroSD. Quad-band GSM phone supports HSDPA 850/1900MHz bands, which means you get 3.5G speeds with AT & T SIM but not T-Mobile, because T-Mobile in the 3G network operates on 1700/2100MHz bands.
HTC S743 will be sold as an unlocked phone, but not to a specific carrier. HTC did not reveal the details of the pricing, but said that it would be through a number of retailers, including Dell.com CDW.com.
