Hands On: GTA Lite … ER, Gangstar for iPhone

After about two hours with Gangstar Gameloft, I can safely say they have an obvious right. There are so many other things.
Gangstar is a clone of GTA for the iPhone and IPod Touch, where you play EX-Con them honestly … does it matter how his name? Seriously, the main character and your Sidekick so alike in appearance, I hardly know what to say at any given time.
The game plays very similar to GTA. Specifically GTA3. You run around, steal cars, mistakenly - because of default, and it is difficult to control the accelerometer controls - Run pedestrians and shoot and beat to death innocent people.
There are also missions you can use by selecting specific points marked on your minimap. Until now, the mission ranged from transporting your boss into the following groups and the murder of gang members.
The main control character with the virtual analog control stick, and you can fight, shoot, and steal cars using contextual keys that have been floated as needed. For example, close enough to the car and “open door” icon of POPs. Click on the icon out of the driver and you go to your new drive.
Fortunately, shooting models and struggle with an extremely forgiving. When in a fight, the cross hair on your goal, you click the icon and your character will either be shot or, depending on the impact, if you have a weapon equipped. So far, the ease of orientation has trivial Most of the missions, but so far I do not complain.
Driving the model still seems adequate as long as you’re not using an accelerometer and a virtual wheel or stick version, which is smaller aneurysm inducing. Where also hints at the depth in the driving model, as I could easily reverse 180 spin and continue to move forward without missing a single detail.
Coolest feature, although it is possible to use your own library as an iPhone in your car music that plays when you enter the technique.
I noticed a few bugs here and there, where the car you drove in a sometimes disappear after the cut scene. Maybe it’s just a crime that bad in the world Gangstar, however. Where even the criminals are victims of crime.
I have a hard time recommended Gangstar for $ 7, but this is mainly due to my long-held belief that the iPhone game should not cost more than $ 1. Once you get the hang of driving, the game is actually kind of fun. Fun, “I need a quick diversion for the next 15 minutes” kind of way, but there are games on the iPhone, which better fits that description.
If you are the type of player who would like GTA, even if there was no history, I “D said to try. For the rest wait Lite version. Or wait until the real deal to come.
