Google Schmidt resigns from Apple board

In May, Google has confirmed that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) plans to hold discussions about potential conflicts of interest related to Schmidt, the presence of both companies, boards of directors. Google Chief Legal Officer David Drummond, said at the time that Google does not believe there was a problem with the situation.
Schmidt said that he has recused himself from the Apple discussion board relating to the areas in which company interests coincide - for iPhone, for example, taking into account the work of Google Android operating system for smartphones. But the resemblance grew more difficult to reconcile, when Google announced the development of its Chrome operating system that will directly compete with Apple in the OS. (The company already has a competing browser in Apple Safari and Google’s Chrome.)
Last month, Schmidt said that he plans to discuss his future role on the Apple board, taking into account the emergence of Chrome OS.
Most recently, the potential competitive turf becomes apparent when Google’s third-party applications for the iPhone - which comes with a pre-Google Maps - began to receive wide publicity check from Apple. Google location-aware service breadth, for example, was restricted to the web application, but not installed, and the Google voice telephony app was rejected by a simple Apple.
Last week a report surfaced that the Federal Commission sent letters of inquiry Apple, Google, iPhone and carrier AT & T on the square blocked.
