Consumer Reports: Best Pre-iPhone, BlackBerry
iPhone in the first place award in this year’s smartphone list of Consumer Reports, on Wednesday praised the iPhone 3GS his “above the display, enhanced high-level multimedia and navigation on the Internet, and batteries.” However, iPhone does not win in all categories.
Consumer Reports gave a high evaluation on the Palm and BlackBerry for its pre-messaging functionality. The organization also praised the pre-as “the chief multitasker” for their “deck-of-card-processing multiple applications.”
In the light of changing circumstances and needs smartphone category of Consumer Reports has changed some of the criteria in this year’s opening. These changes have contributed to some of the old phones - as the iPhone 3G - move up in rank, while other phones - like Samsung Blackjack II and the BlackBerry Pearl Flip - fell in with the changes.
The changes include putting more emphasis on things like the display, navigation, multimedia and messaging services, while putting less emphasis on features such as call and voice quality.
It is unclear how iPhone 3GS be appreciated, MMS messages are available from AT & T at the time of testing. AT & T said functionality will be available somewhere this summer.
