Check this funny blog about you …” URL in the message, and then redirects to a page that looks like a twitter login page, but really not snicker - this site, twitter.access-logins.com, which masquerades as twitter steal your login credentials instead.

If you need to log in to twitter, do so on Twitter.com itself. And play it safe, double-check your browser address bar to make sure that wherever you are.

Phishing site in question appears to have the support of stealing IDs Facebook.

I have not received this bogus twitter message, but Twittersphere is abuzz over this fraud.

Update: If you entered the real Twitter.com, you will see an update on the machinations on this page. No warning appears when you use another client twitter as Twhirl.

Update 2: The effect of the receipt taken in this scam appears to be that victims have to send messages to his followers with the original phishing message. To date, no other consequences of the victim scam has been reported. However, since many people use the same user ID and password for multiple online services, it is possible that the powers are collected from this scheme can be used to log into other services, including financial sites.
