Apple 3G adding to MacBooks?
Apple in the Mac Hardware Group is seeking an engineer with experience in various networking technologies, as popular in the market of personal computers, for example, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi “and / or wireless 3G WAN,” in accordance with the vacancy spots on Computerworld. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet network interfaces are standard on the Mac at the time, while the 3G Wireless WAN technology is limited only to the iPhone in Apple.
A few years ago, laptops with embedded chips that can connect to the network were considered to be the next big thing in mobile computing, but the notion does not exactly thrive in the same way that Wi-Fi is now widespread in notebook computing. But Apple may consider the MacBook partnership with AT & T, given its close ties with the carrier through the iPhone.
Rumors about it have arisen before, and it may make sense that Apple would have a setting for its MacBook line heading into the second half of this year.
