Last week, Google Android tantalized developers with early versions of its software developers kit Android 1.5, the upcoming version of its mobile operating system. Included in this laundry list of new features out, many of them are suspiciously familiar to those in the Apple iPhone already has. But one, emphasized on Friday that the iPhone does not have: Live Folders. 

freely lumped into the category of “more than the home screen widgets,” Live Folders in quick views into a folder on your phone, where you can view the entire contents of your e-books, e-mail, RSS-channels and playlists, for example, without running the application itself. Live Folders will also include real-time updates, so if a new e-mail comes in while you’re reading in the window of his home screen, you’ll see it appear.
